Published by Scribner, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, the book comes out in paperback on January 7, 2025. An international phenomenon, it’s being translated into 26 languages. It recently ranked #1 on a list of the “Top 100 Most Popular Investing Books,” based on thousands of ratings on Goodreads.

His recent appearances include speeches at BlackRock events in London, the Prime Quadrant Conference in Toronto, VALUEx events in Omaha and Klosters, and the Financial Advice Association Australia Congress in Adelaide. William is also a highly experienced moderator: he moderated a panel of three Prime Ministers in South Korea, a panel at the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi, and a World Economic Forum panel in Egypt. As a ghost-writer and editor, William has collaborated on two books that became #1 New York Times bestsellers. He has written for publications such as Time, Fortune, Forbes, the New Yorker, and the Economist. He also edited the European, Middle Eastern, African, and Asian editions of Time.
William is a Senior Advisor at First Eagle Investments and an Advisor to the Board at Aquamarine Capital.
Born and raised in London, William was educated at Eton College, studied English literature at Oxford University, and received a Master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. He lives in New York with his wife, Lauren; they have two children, Henry and Madeleine.
